Here is the problem and I hope someone has an answer.

I have a fully licensed version of the above with 3 licenses. I have previously been running this on just one laptop but this weekend decided to load it onto our second laptop and the iMac.

The disc will NOT open on the iMac, it just makes unhealthy noises and ejects. Then tried it on the mac book and it loaded no problem.

The iMac will open other image discs, it will burn discs, it even opens other program discs so I am very confused.

Any ideas

Regards

Ian

i have a G5 PPC so not sure about intel. Seems strange. Best an intel user helps on this one. At least if all fails you can run windows office on there, although I havent used PC's as an office computer for ages.

OSX and Linux Mint8 all the way.

If it works on one CD drive and not another I think you can share a cd drive on one mac as though it was connected to the other one. This is used on the mac mini but works on others I believe.

Not used it before but I am sure google will help you.

Kind Regards

Stuart

Stuart,

Never thought of that, will google unless someone has already done this and has quick tips.
Will get me out of a fix but does not explain the problem might just be that 1 in 3 macs refuse to work with MS :omy:

Had a similar problem with the ON ONE software on my MAC, wouldn't load for love or money, worked fine on a PC. Had to get a replacement disc. I would take the disc and MAC to apple if you can get the tech boys to have a look.

Sorry can't be of any more help.

You could also copy the source to usb stick on the Mac that is able to read the disk, and install from there.

Cheers

Ray
