How to pass feedback to Sam

    Sam comes from a programming background and there is an easy way to explain what is happening or rather what you would want to happen in your ideal system. As an example I produced a number of user cases for different discount systems using the following manner;

    Block Discount
    U: Adds a 10 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows one item in the invoice with tax (1.00) and grand total (11.00)

    U: Adds a 10 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows two items (9x6), sub total (20.00), tax (2.00) and grand total (22.00)

    U: Adds a 10 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows three items (9x6), sub total (20.00), tax (2.00) and grand total (22.00)

    U: Adds a 10 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows four items (9x6), sub total (30.00), tax (3.00) and grand total (33.00)

    U: Adds a 10 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows five items (9x6), sub total (40.00), tax (4.00) and grand total (44.00)

    U: Adds a 10 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows six items (9x6), sub total (40.00), tax (4.00) and grand total (44.00)

    Threshold Discount

    U: Adds a 12 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows one item in the invoice with tax (12.00) and grand total (13.20)

    U: Adds a 12 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows two items (9x6), sub total (24.00), tax (2.40) and grand total (26.40)

    U: Adds a 12 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows three items (9x6), sub total (24.00), tax (2.40) and grand total (26.40)

    U: Adds a 12 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows four items (9x6), sub total (32.00), tax (3.20) and grand total (35.20)

    U: Adds a 12 - 9x6 picture (item) to their cart
S: Shows five items (9x6), sub total (40.00), tax (4.00) and grand total (44.00)
U stands for user interaction and S stands for what the system does.

The better you can describe what or what is not required the easier it is to understand.

Sam is the developer of Photo Parata and if you want to explain to him how you need something to work it is beneficial to him if you can use user cases as demonstrated i.e. explain what happens at every stage from the point of the user and the point of the system.

Given that this is in the "Photo Parata" section of the site, it's a fair guess

I'd settle for autosync working and carts not logging customers out of their baskets or showing that no images have been added, when blatantly if you log onto another v/s the items very clearly are in the favourites cart. Due to my pricing strategy I am not fussed about the shopping cart invoicing facility. I want a robust dependable GM/KVS system that works every single time.

Whilst I am a proponent of Parata and have been using it for many years now, my experience of development progress has been painful.

There's a lot of very positive reaction to receiving bug reports and feedback, but sadly very little action to follow it up.

It may be that the EPS's involvement will stimulate 'progress' - let's hope so.
