Had this info sent to me by Eye-Fi and thought it might be of interest to a few

http://www.upaa.org/blog/ipad-shuttersnitch-review/

I haven't tried it out as I don't have an iPad, but would be interested to hear people's results if trying

I can imagine it might be of use in a more corporate shoot with client wanting to view

I've been using Shutter Snitch and iPad for about 6 months - great combo.

I demonstrated it at the last EPS meeting, taking unflattering snaps of the delegates around the dinner table.

As you say Rob, better suited to corporate events. We use it primarily at hospitality events where it's ideal.

It works well wth the Canon Wi-Fi WFT transmitters too. Great for corporate shoot and portriats. Did a corporate launch-event shoot the other week with the iPad on the "leaflets" table picking up the shots I was taking round the event. It created quite a few comments and questions - and that's always good for contacts and business! I just wish there was a easy method of securing the iPad - something like a laptop lock maybe.

We have a solution that can use the iPad as a viewing station. Images shot into your PC / Mac and then the iPad can be used for viewing / order taking / immediate printing with the option to overprint, provide soft copy and even chromakey.

The images make their way into the Mac / PC as usual using tethered / wireless

The iPad makes for a good viewing station and is cheap, portable and requires little / no power. Easy setup and looks good. When we have used the system we have modified iPad cases to provide a reasonably secure system.

Not sure if these would be suitable or would just look out of place on an Ipad but I have used them on printers.

Not tried these ones but look good but are a bit more expensive.

Hi Stu,

Very interested, care to put a bit more flesh on the bones?

Thanks Andy, That looks a neat device. Maybe iPad v2 will have a cable lock port on it??
It's just far too desireable and nickable. I use it as a sales tool when visiting wedding and portrait clients - the guys think it's great.

My question is in relation to the pocket MiFi device he's using, which I presume was battery powered.

Is there anything like this available on Wifi?

Hi Trudy

It's a product we have had since late last year and have used ourselves but have yet to decide if we will launch it as and Event Photography solution yet. We need to ensure that it is cost effective for our customers and that it is profitable for us.

I will have it with me at Focus so you can see it working there and I might have more details then.

Sorry to be a bit vague

Stuart Morley

Yes Ian.

All possible just need to decide if it is an EP product and what we would sell for if we decided to sell it into this market.
