I've got a university gig coming up where I want to setup a "Right Angle" studio based on a Lastolite Hi-Lite and one of Paul's "Pellier Noir" Velvet Black collapsible backgrounds. I know that others on this forum have used this method on-site. What I'd like is a bit of advice on how best to light this setup or learn by example by seeing 1st hand someone using this setup in action. Any and all advice would be gratefully accepted.

Hi John

I will definately help you just stacked at min.

Is it the set up or the lighting you require help with as the simpler its kept the better.

Now sorted, courtesy of Mr Rodgers. Heads been spinning all week because of him! Doh!
Ed, thanks for the offer anyway. Every little helps!

At most of my recent events I've struggled to find space for one backdrop, never mind three.

Hats off to the man with three backdrops...

Phil

Trust me! A week ago I didn't think it was possible. Now I'm a convert. If you ever get the chance to see Paul Rodgers........

Tried this system a good few years ago using 2 lastolite's for a few gigs,

but have not really followed up with hi/low key look mentioned, have seen working to great effect,

95% of our image are procured upon entry to venue & sold to customers after their meal,

Getting through 200+ up-to 1000 people or at least as many as we can ! in around 30-60 min's is the key for us, (multiple studios)

Often packing away whilst they have their meal, & turning to on-camera flash from then on...

Work for us, but not everone's cup of tea...
