There has been some talk about this new printer from Mitsubishi, in the printer section.

Just to let you know that Photomart wil be selling the printer at £950 plus Vat. It will come with q image software ( this as part of the initial package from Mitsubishi.).

The printers will be coming to us very soon.

Q Image software?

Also, can you confirm that it does matte?

I believe it is a workflow software - there should be info on the net on the product - as a I sai this is something Mitsubihsi are putting in the package , it is not something taht Photomart sell normally.

It is my understanding that the printer will do two different finishes, gloss and some kind of half gloss. I have not seen the results of this yet, so I couldn't comment.

The printer has got improved print processing times over the 9800.

Qimage was given free with the CP9800 too,

link for info http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage/

I suppose you could use it for events but would have to adapt to a suitable workflow !

More of a printing program Mark as far as I've seen, but apparently one of the better ones.

I have had since 2001 but never got on with it,

Very powerful program but not easy enough for me, offers good image resizing technology !

a print morkflow/management software?

Mork calling Orsen

Mark it is really just a printing program (a very highly rated one) in which you can set templates etc. It does not have a good event workflow interface.

Quick Link-

Unfortunately we are missing the detail of the print medias, and the Q-Image software, but the latter comes with it as standard from Mitsubsihi anyway.

The media will be the same as the 9550, and 9800.

As a matter of interest, is it possible to use one of these with the Click?

Does it still come with the two year warranty?

Simon - no same story as before - this is to use with PC & Mac

Kris - I checked with Mitsubishi right now and I was told yes.

Does that mean that there will be a DWS version of it in the fullness of time?

The DW-S version will be the CP9820. This is a red CP9810 or a 9810DWS in effect.

Mitsubishi have gone with the CP9820 instead of 9810DW-S to avoid the -S confusion I think.

I did know about the 9820DWS, but as Mitsubishi weren't making any major noises about it , I thought it best not to say anything. As with the CP9800DW, I guess it is a case of making sure the preceding machine is cleared from stock before pushing it.

I guess they won't launch it until they have no / low stocks of the old version.

That's usually what manufacturers do.

Kind Regards
