While not necessarily qualifying as a "Pic of the Week" I took these with my early Xmas pressies to myself - A canon 5D mk2 and a 15mm fish eye.

Geek speak. iso 4000, AV mode set to 5.6, manual focus

Congrats Gary, nice pics

I would have thought the owners of the venue would have been using these in many years to come.

I'd photograph all those graduands for them!

Anybody break the stranglehold of the grad ceremony photography companies? I was once thinking of renting a market stall near to St Davids Hall in Cardiff and offering cheaper, and better instant grad photos over the period.

My three (!) grad ceremony images are utter, utter crap.

I've recently gotten a 5d2 - very pleased with it so far - although the AF is a bit slower than my previous 50/40d's... Noise is pretty good - was shooting in what felt like near darkness the other night at a local NHS event - and I still got some reasonable pictures. The feedback from my client was that the photos were great - and that it was the first time they'd hired a professional... That's the first time I've been called that :cam:

Great lens there Gary - I always ennjoy using fisheyes for alternative views..

I've resisted the move from my 5d/1DSmkii's to the Better Spec 5d mkii as the original 5d still keep doing its job very well indeed,

I must say I'm really impressed with my Canon 50d,

The 40/50d offers great value for money also offer excellent image & build quality,

I bought this camera to "stay in my event Bag" has done nothing to put me off in the slightest, impressed...

well done Canon
